Mr. Scott, along with Mr. Bartoletti, previously started Guidant’s sister organization Professional Golf Acquisitions, Inc. (P/G/A). This 36-hole facility, which includes 8 clay tennis courts, fitness center, 40,000 square foot clubhouse, and Olympic swimming pool, was acquired for $4.75M in August 2000 as a private, non-equity facility. This acquisition was a turn around project from day one. Post acquisition, P/G/A converted Wellington Golf Club into a semi-private facility, resulting in a 200% increase in non-member play, 32% increase in total rounds, and a 58% increase in golf club memberships during P/G/A’s first year. On June 1, 2005 P/G/A sold Wellington Golf Club to The Wanderers Group, LLC for $9.0M, and the group was retained to manage the property for the new owner.

Mr. Scott provided the management and leadership skills necessary to oversee facilities that produced approximately $9M in combined annual revenues and employed 100-120 employees.
As General Manager/Director of Golf of Jacaranda Golf Club, Mr. Scott implemented marketing strategies that resulted in a $1.2M increase in total revenues and a $1.35M improvement in operating income during his tenure. Jacaranda Golf Club was consistently known as one of South Florida’s premier semi-private golf facilities, receiving awards such as “Golf Club of the Year” (1992)– South Florida PGA, “Pro-Am of the Year” (1993, 1994, 1996, 1997, & 1998) – South Florida PGA, and “Merchandiser of the Year” (1994 & 1996) – South Florida PGA. Jacaranda Golf Club also played host to both the PGA TOUR Qualifying School and US OPEN Qualifier on numerous occasions. Mr. Scott’s management team utilized Jacaranda’s 36-hole facility to the utmost potential by playing over 90,000 rounds annually, while conducting over 200 corporate/charity golf events each year.
